Milan is a city in Monroe and Washtenaw counties. Located in the northwest corner of Monroe county the city is split in half between the two counties by the Saline River. There is a picturesque park that lies along the river which overlooks the new city hall to the south and downtown area to the north.
The population is 5,661 people and has had a population growth of 16.84 percent since the 2000 census. The median home cost is $133,310 and the cost of living is 14.94% lower than the U.S. average. The public schools spend $6,189 per student and there are about 18 students per teacher.
