About Allen Park, MI.
Allen Park is a city in Wayne County, Michigan. Allen Park was incorporated as a village in 1927 and as a city in 1957. The city’s origins are clearly centered around one man, Lewis Allen. Lewis Allen was a well-to-do lawyer and lumberman who owned 276 ½ acres of land. Lewis Allen was such an influential resident that the town was named after him and today, Allen Park is part of the collection of communities known as Downriver, part of the greater Detroit metropolitan area. In the true fashion of the Motor City, Allen Park is also home to the Uniroyal Tire, the world’s largest tire. However, the tire isn't the only notable thing about Allen Park. As the site of over 20,000 residents, Allen Park homes for sale are located in a busy and vibrant community.
While you enjoy living in a close-knit Michigan community, your children will attend one of five schools.
